Privacy Policy
1. Who handles your data
Barplus, a trade name of VHC Website Hosting Services, with its place of business in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines.

2. What we collect
When you buy: your email address, what you bought, when, the amount, and the payment reference.
When you download: a record of each download, the time, and the identifying watermark applied to the file.
When you ask to be notified: your email address and the material you asked about.
Automatically: your IP address and basic technical information from your browser, in our server logs.
Cookies: we use cookies only to keep you signed in to your library and to make the forms on this site work. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
We do not collect your name, address or phone number. We never see or store your card, e-wallet or bank details — those go directly to our payment provider.
3. Why we use it
- To deliver what you bought and give you access to your library.
- To send your receipt, release notices for materials you are entitled to, and updates to materials you own.
- To email you once when a material you asked to be notified about is released, whether or not you have bought anything from us.
- To watermark files and keep download records, so a leaked copy can be traced to its purchase.
- To comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. Who we share it with
- Our payment provider, to take payment and confirm it.
- Our email provider, to send receipts and notices.
- Our hosting and storage providers, where the site and files are hosted.
- Government authorities, where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
- Purchase and payment records: five years.
- Download records: three years.
- Notify-me requests: until the material is released, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Server logs: ninety days.
6. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, object to how we use it, or delete it.
Some data we must keep — purchase records for tax, and download records tied to watermarked files. Where we cannot delete something, we will tell you why.

7. Where your data is held
Our servers and file storage are located in Singapore. Our email and payment providers may process data elsewhere.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its effective date.
